Introduction:
Indian nationals are encouraged to apply online for the position of Security Assistant (Motor Transport) {SA(MT)} through Direct Recruitment as follows: Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux
Ex-serviceman (ESM) vacancies will be distributed centrally rather than assigned to a specific SIB, enabling ESMs from all SIBx to compete for the vacancies designated for them. Merit-based selection will be used to fill the positions, and the chosen individuals will be assigned to the SIB.
DESCRIPTION OF THE POST:
According to the pay matrix, General Central Service (Group “C”) Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministeria Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) + allowable Central Government allowances.
The following are essential requirements: (i) a valid driver’s license for motor vehicles (LMV) issued by the appropriate authority; (ii) a valid driving license from an accredited board of education; (iii) knowledge of motor mechanisms (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle); (iv) at least one year of experience driving a motor vehicle after receiving a valid driving license; and (v) a domicile certificate from the state against which the candidate has applied.
Age restriction: ➢ The upper age limit is lowered by three years for OBC applicants and five years for SC/ST candidates. ➢ Departmental applicants up to 40 years of age who have completed three years of regular, continuous service are exempt from the upper age limit. Only Central Government civil servants in civil positions are eligible for this waiver; employees of PSUs, autonomous/statutory bodies, etc., are not. ➢ The age restriction is lenient for general candidates up to age 35, for OBC candidates up to age 38, and for SC/ST candidates up to age 40 in the case of widows, divorced women, and women who have been judicially separated from their spouses and have not remarried. ➢ The age restriction is loosened for veterans in accordance with the government’s periodically issued directives.
Note 1: No category of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PswBDs) has been shown to be a good fit for the SA(MT) position. They therefore DO NOT NEED to apply.
Note 2: The number of openings is tentative and subject to change.
Note 3: On the closing date, candidates’ eligibility will be assessed based on their age, level of education, caste or category, etc. The candidate must meet the requirements listed in the above table, which include having the final results released by 2359 hours on September 28, 2025, or earlier, and having been deemed successful.
Note 4: OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and ESM vacancies are reserved in accordance with the regulations and roster. It includes any carried-over openings in the appropriate category. Non-ESM candidates from the relevant categories will fill the ESM positions if there are no suitable ESM candidates.
Note 5: ESM are not eligible for fee reductions or to claim reservation benefits under the ESM category if they have already obtained regular employment in the public service under the Central Government in Group “C” positions after using the benefits of reservation granted to them for their re-employment. They are, nevertheless, qualified for age relaxation.
Note 6: According to Appendix 4 of the advertisement, active military personnel who are scheduled for discharge must get a certificate. Additionally, as stated in Appendix 5 of the advertisement, all ESM candidates must provide an undertaking when requested.
Note 7: Any Central, State, or Semi-Government should provide the Experience Certificate of Driving.
SELECTION OF CANDIDATES:
- a) The candidate must show up in Tier I at the designated center from the five cities of their choice. Every incorrect response will result in a ¼ mark deduction. If a question is not attempted, no points will be given. Candidates’ responses to questions marked as “Mark for Review” will not be considered for assessment.
- b) The Tier-I exam would have the following cut-off scores (out of 100) in order to accomplish qualitative selection and hire the finest personnel.
- c) Qualified candidates would be shortlisted for the Tier-II exam at ten times the number of openings based on their performance and the normalization of their marks in the Tier-I exam.
- d) However, the cut-off for the Tier-I exam may rise for some categories based on the number of vacancies and the scores of the applicants. Similarly, the previously indicated Tier-I cut-off may likewise restrict the need for 10 times as many opportunities.
- e) The Tier-II test has a qualifying component. Twenty out of fifty is the qualifying score for Tier-II.
- f) The combined performance of the Tier-I and Tier-II Exams would be used to create a final merit list of applicants (subject to qualifying in the Tier-II Exam) in order of merit. To offer replacements in the future, a waiting list will also be established in accordance with DoP&T OM No. 41019/18/97-Estt. (B) dated 13.06.2000.
- g) The successful completion of character and antecedent verification, followed by a medical examination, etc., would also be a prerequisite for the ultimate selection to the position.
Candidates must preview the online application before submitting it to make sure they have uploaded the correct photo and signature and have provided accurate information, especially the email address. Additionally, it must be made sure that the signature and photo are clear and not blurry; if they are, they must be uploaded again, or the page must be reloaded or refreshed. Only after verifying that the information is accurate and that the signature and photo have been uploaded correctly should the online application be submitted. The candidate’s application will be rejected or canceled if they fail to upload their signature and photo.
