Welfare Benefits Board to Begin Door-to-Door Census for Second Phase of Aswesuma Program

The Welfare Benefits Board stated that the census of low-income families who have submitted applications for the second phase of the Aswesuma program will begin tomorrow (21).

The Welfare Benefits Board has received approximately 800,000 applications for the second phase.

It has been announced that this population census will be conducted door-to-door with the aim of selecting those eligible to receive welfare assistance from the applications.

The Welfare Benefits Board received 3.4 million applications for the first phase of the Aswesuma scheme, of which approximately 1.8 million were found eligible to receive Aswesuma welfare benefits.

Currently, the Welfare Benefits Board is providing welfare assistance to 1.72 million beneficiaries.
