Introduction:

The applicants for the above-mentioned service personnel (on a fixed tenure basis) position must have earned a diploma or ITI degree with a first-class (60%) grade in the relevant field or trade. In addition to having a National Trade Certificate (NTC) and NAC as a regular candidate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), the diploma must have been earned from a recognized polytechnic institution and the ITI courses must have been completed under the traditional training pattern of the Craftsmen Training Scheme. Candidates who are SC, ST, or PwD are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the required percentage of marks.

According to the criteria set forth by the Government of India, the upper age restriction is lenient and is three years for OBC applicants and five years for SC/ST candidates. The upper age restriction is lowered for PwD applicants by an extra ten years, on top of the relaxation allowed for SC, ST, OBC, and NCL candidates. Candidates with a minimum 40% impairment would be eligible for an age limit relaxation.

In order to be appointed to positions within the Government of India, SC/ST candidates must present their SC/ST Caste Certificate in the appropriate format.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

  1. A computer-based written exam, the verification of original documents, and compliance with the company’s health and fitness requirements will all be factors in the selection process.
  2. The shortlisted qualified candidates will receive an email with the date, time, and location of the Written Test (to the email address they gave in their application). Additionally, the BEML Career page will host the same.

iii. The computer-based written exam will last for two hours. Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) will make up the three sections of the test. There will be 20 general awareness questions in Part I and 20 English and reasoning questions in Part II. There will be 60 questions in Part III about the relevant discipline. Each question will be worth one mark, and there will not be any deductions.

  1. Candidates must show up for the Written Test on the day, time, and location specified on their Admit Card, at their own expense. The BEML Career page is where candidates must download their admit cards. Candidates will have the option to select exam venues as determined by BEML through the online application. However, BEML will assign exam places according to availability. Candidates from the SC, ST, and PwD categories will receive a 5% relaxation from the 60% pass score for the written exam. Nonetheless, the candidates will be chosen according to their merit, based on their written test scores.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT:

  1. Selected applicants will be assigned to any regional or district office of the BEML; requests for a change of posting will not be considered.
  2. The chosen applicants will be hired on a fixed-tenure basis for a period of one year, with the possibility of an extension contingent on performance and business needs. Such an engagement, however, will not last more than four years from the date of engagement. When the predetermined tenure is up, the tenure will immediately expire without any additional notification. Anytime within the fixed tenure engagement period, the employment may be ended by either party submitting one month’s written notice or by paying one month’s salary. Personnel engaged on a tenure-based basis shall not be granted the status of regular employees of the company.

iii. The company’s norms and regulations, such as standing orders, transferability to other departments, manufacturing complexes, or regional/district offices, will control the conduct of the chosen individuals while they do their assigned jobs.

  1. A contract may be dissolved without providing a cause or for non-performance or unsatisfactory performance.
  2. The offer of engagement may occasionally be made on a need basis or in stages, depending on the needs of the business.
