Crucial Instructions:
All applicants should carefully read this notification and the “Instructions to Applicants” on the Commission’s website. To be admitted to the exam, candidates need to make sure they meet all eligibility requirements before applying.
As long as they meet the eligibility requirements, their admittance to all exam phases will be strictly provisional. Candidates shall not be granted any appointment rights just by being admitted to the written exam, having their names added to the selection list, having their certificates verified, or receiving counseling.
If a false statement or a breach of guidelines is verified, the Commission retains the power to reject a candidate at any point, following the proper procedure, even after selection has taken place.
How to Put Yourself Forward:
Online application and one-time registration
Candidates must apply online at the Commission’s website, tnpscexams. Before completing the online application for the test, the candidate must first register on the Commission’s website via the One Time Registration (OTR) platform. If the candidate has already enrolled, they can immediately complete the online application for the test.
Application Correction Window: The Application Correction Window will be available from May 29 to May 31, 2025, three days after the online application deadline. Candidates will have the opportunity to change the information in their online application during this time. No changes can be made to the online application after the Application Correction Window time ends.
Options for Posting:
Candidates can choose to be considered for the Forest Guard, Forest Guard with Driving Licence, Forest Watcher, and Forest Watcher (Tribal Youth) positions listed in this notification by completing the online application. As a result, candidates should carefully consider the following post alternatives in the online application:
Medical and Physical Standards:
At the time of joining the position, candidates who have been chosen for appointment must present a certificate of physical fitness to the hiring authority.
The candidates must have Standard III or higher visual acuity. Applicants with vision impairments should present the hiring authorities with an Eye Fitness certificate from a certified eye specialist employed by a government hospital.

Exam Schedule:
The Combined Civil Services Examination-IV (Group IV Services) will only have one written test. The statements stated in the online application will determine which candidates are allowed to take the test.
Ranking Process:
The candidates’ total scores from the written exam will be used to create the merit list, also known as the ranking list.
Candidates with higher educational qualifications will be taken into consideration after placement is finalized based on higher technical qualifications.
The senior candidate will be ranked higher on the merit list if their qualifications and written exam scores are identical.
The candidate who previously applied to the Commission, as identified by the application number, will be ranked higher on the merit list when the ages are equal.
Reservation of Appointments: Except for the deficit openings, this recruiting is subject to the reservation of appointments rule. The details of the reservation for candidates from various categories are included in Annexure II of this announcement.
Communication with the Commission:
Any correspondence with the Commission should always contain the following details. We will not respond to communications that do not include the essential details.
- The examination’s name
- Year and Notification No.
- The candidate’s name (both in whole and in block letters) and registration number
- Full mailing address provided on the application
- A working and valid email address

Litigations:
The appointment to the position in this recruitment is entirely provisional and contingent upon the final rulings in any pending legal cases before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High legal and the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, if any.
Examination Centres:
Candidates may select up to two test locations when submitting their applications online. One of these two testing locations will be assigned to the candidates. Candidates with qualifying disabilities, however, will only be allowed to select one testing location and will be given a space at that district center.
Candidates must appear for the exam at the designated place as per the memorandum of admission (hall ticket). A request to change the exam site will not be taken into account.
The Commission retains the authority to change the number of testing locations and reassign candidates due to those changes.
