Introduction:
The Staff Selection Commission will hold an open competitive examination to select male and female constables (executive) for the Delhi Police in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding that was inked between the two agencies. Applicants will be accepted from all regions of the nation. People with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are not considered to be a good fit for this position. The following are the main characteristics of the recruitment exam.
The SSC will release the examination notice in accordance with the openings that the Delhi Police have indicated.
The Commission will only administer the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) in Hindi and English.
Following the announcement of the CBE results, the Delhi Police will schedule and administer the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) in Delhi. Additionally, the PE&MT is qualifying.
The Commission will announce the final result based on the applicants’ performance in the computer-based exam, provided they meet the PE&MT requirements and other requirements listed in the examination notice.
Process of Certification and Format of Certificate:
When Delhi Police requests such certificates during PE&MT/Document Verification, candidates who want to be considered for reserved vacancies or who want age relaxation must provide the necessary certificate from the appropriate authority in the format specified. Otherwise, their online application will be evaluated under the Un-reserved (UR) category, and their claim for the SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc. category will not be accepted. Additionally, the candidate will be categorized as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or UR if they have requested any other age relaxation and are unable to provide the necessary documentation. The Notice of Examination has an appendix with the certificate formats.
Candidates must match the castes listed in the Central List in order to be eligible for benefits under the OBC category. Candidates who have been granted an OBC certificate by the Delhi NCT Government would also be eligible for this waiver. In order to avoid being in the creamy layer on the important date, they must make sure they are eligible for such a reservation. The deadline for receiving the online application form will be the most important date for this reason. The “crucial date” does not refer to the date the certificate was issued; rather, it indicates that the candidate must fall into the appropriate category as of that date.
Essential Qualification:
Candidates will not be eligible and are not required to apply if they do not possess the necessary educational credentials as of the deadline.
It is repeated that the Board in question must have announced the outcome of the necessary educational qualification before the deadline. The EQ requirement is not met by the Board just processing the results by the important cutoff date.
On or before the deadline for submitting their online applications, all candidates who have been shortlisted by the Commission for the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) must present the appropriate certificates, such as mark sheets, provisional certificates, etc., attesting to their completion of the necessary educational background. If they are unable to do so, their candidature will be canceled.
Engineering, medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, architecture, physiotherapy, and other programs are not allowed to be offered through the Open and Distance Learning mode, according to Part-III (8)(v) of the UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 that were published in the official Gazette on June 23, 2017. However, if appropriate, B.Tech. degrees or diplomas in engineering granted by IGNOU to students enrolled through the 2009–10 academic year will be recognized as legitimate.
According to the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Notification dated 10-06-2015, which was published in the Indian Gazette, all degrees, diplomas, and certificates granted by universities founded by a parliamentary act or a state legislature are considered to be deemed to be awarded through open and distance learning.
Note:
(i) At the time of PE&MT/Document Verification, the benefit will only be granted upon presentation of the original certificate substantiating their claims (subject to its verification).
