GENERAL INFORMATION AND VACANCIES:
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is a government-owned public sector corporation entrusted with developing, improving, maintaining, and managing civil aviation facilities both on land and in the air.
Educational Qualifications:
Full-time, 3-year Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) with Physics and Mathematics.
OR
Full-time, regular bachelor’s degree in engineering of any discipline. (Physics and mathematics should be included in any of the semester curricula.)
The candidate must have a minimum competence in spoken and written English at the 10+2 level.
Note:
(i) The degree needs to be: (a) from a government-approved deemed university or apex institution, such IIT, IIMs, XLRI, TISS, etc.; and (b) have passing grades or be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
(ii) Candidates with a B.E./B. Tech/B. Sc. (Engg.) Degree holders are eligible to apply when the required qualification is a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
(iii) Departmental applicants with recognized degrees that meet the specified minimum requirement and were achieved through part-time, correspondence, or distance education are eligible to apply.
AGE LIMIT AND RELAXATION:
(i) AGE LIMIT: Maximum age of 27 years as of May 24, 2025. (ii) RELAXATION AS YOU AGE:
(a) For SC/ST and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, the upper age limit is reduced by 5 and 3 years, respectively.. Vacancies earmarked for the OBC category are for candidates belonging to the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’, as per the Government of India’s recommendations on the topic.
(b) The upper age limit is eased by ten years for PwBD candidates if the position is deemed appropriate for the relevant category of impairment, as evidenced by a Certificate of impairment issued by the Competent Authority on or before May 24, 2025.
(c) Commissioned officers and ex-servicemen who have been discharged from the military after at least five years of service, including Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers.
(1) upon completion of the assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year), other than through dismissal or discharge owing to misbehavior or inefficiency.
OR
(2) A maximum reduction of 05 years in the upper age restriction is permitted due to a physical handicap caused by military service or invalidation.
(d) The upper age limit is relaxed by a maximum of ten years for candidates who are in regular service with AAI and have completed their probation period upon initial appointment.
(e) Only the date of birth indicated on the Matriculation and Secondary Examination certificates will be accepted. No more petitions for a change in birth date will be considered.
Important Instructions:
(i) Only Indian nationals who meet the qualifying conditions can apply for the above post.
(ii) Candidates enrolled in the final semester (where semester-system is applicable) or final year (where year-system is applicable) on the cut-off date are eligible to apply, subject to the condition that they have a final result at the time of Application Verification; otherwise, their candidature will not be considered for further processing.
The date of result declaration/issuance of the Marks Sheet is regarded to be the date of qualification, and no exceptions will be made on this basis. There should be no additional easing in this regard.
(iii) Age and all other eligibility conditions shall be determined as of May 24, 2025 (cut-off date).
(iv) Applicants for OBC-reserved positions should be informed that, upon application verification, they must verify that they are not from the “Creamy Laye” and provide a valid OBC (NCL) Certificate issued during the Financial Year 2025–2026 in the format for appointment to posts under the Government of India, issued by the Competent Authority, attesting to their membership in the OBC community on the Central list of OBC.
Before being appointed, the candidate must also submit a declaration stating that he or she does not belong to the Creamy Layer of the OBC.
To be eligible for the reservation benefit described in this offer, candidates should apply for and get the aforementioned OBC(NCL) Certificate issued during Fiscal Year 2025-26 as soon as feasible.
Candidates who do not produce the relevant OBC(NCL) certificate at the time of application verification will be rejected from consideration in the applicable category. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificates given for appointment to State Government offices (i.e., those on the state list of OBC) or admission to educational institutions will not be considered.
(v) EWS Certificate: Candidates seeking openings reserved for the EWS category should be informed that they must produce an EWS Certificate valid for Fiscal Year 2025-26 in the format specified by the Competent Authority during the application verification process.
To be eligible for the reservation benefit outlined in this advertisement, candidates should apply and get the aforementioned EWS Certificate applicable for FY 2025-26 as soon as possible. Candidates will not be considered for the appropriate category if they do not submit the required EWS certificate during the Application Verification procedure.
(vi) SC/ST Certificate: Candidates applying for SC/ST category jobs should be aware that they must present a Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before May 24, 2025, at the time of application verification.
(vii) Disability Certificate: Candidates applying for openings reserved for the PwBD category should be aware that they must present a valid Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before May 24, 2025, by Government rules, at the time of application verification.
(viii) Before being assigned to the indicated position, PwBD candidates must be evaluated for suitability in terms of the Functional Requirements outlined in the job description.
(ix) Ex-servicemen candidates must present a Discharge Certificate at the time of application verification.
(x) All certificates issued by the Competent Authority must be either in Hindi or English. Variations in the caste name will not be recognized. For certifications issued in languages other than Hindi/English, a translated copy must be presented, duly attested by a Notary.
