Ex-Serviceman (ESM) vacancies will be distributed centrally rather than being assigned to a specific SIB, enabling ESMs from all SIBs to compete for the vacancies designated for them. Merit-based selection will be used to fill the positions, and the chosen individuals will be assigned to the SIB.
Candidates are encouraged to review all of the requirements listed in the various paragraphs and sub-paragraphs below and confirm that they meet the requirements for age restriction, necessary qualifications, etc.
DESCRIPTION OF THE POST:
General Central Service (Group ‘C’
Age limit:
For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is reduced by five years, while for OBC candidates, it is reduced by three years.
For departmental applicants aged 40 years or younger who have completed three years of regular, continuous service, the upper age limit is lowered. Only Central Government government servants in civil positions are eligible for this waiver; employees of PSUs, autonomous/statutory bodies, etc., are not.
In the case of widows, divorced women, and women who have been judicially separated from their husbands and have not remarried, the age restriction is lowered to 35 years for UR candidates, 38 years for OBC candidates, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
According to the government’s periodically issued directives, the age restriction is lowered for former service members.
For the deserving athletes listed in Paragraph 1(a) of D.O.P. and A.R., O.M. No. 14015/1/76-Estt.(D), dated 4.8.1980, the age restriction is lenient up to a maximum of five years. To be eligible for age relaxation under this category, a candidate must possess the required certificate from the relevant authorities and in the form specified in the OM.(According to Appendix 3, after this comprehensive advertisement).
SELECTION OF CANDIDATES:
Out of the five cities the candidate can choose from, he or she must appear in Tier I at one of the five centers assigned to them. Every incorrect response will result in a ¼ mark deduction. If a question is not attempted, no points will be given. Questions that candidates mark as “Mark for Review” will not be taken into account for evaluation.
Qualified candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II at ten times the number of vacancies based on their performance and the normalization of their marks in the Tier-I exam; however, they must have achieved the minimum cut-off in Tier-I.
However, depending on the number of openings and the candidates’ scores, the cut-off for the Tier-I exam may increase for certain categories.
The position will be filled temporarily. However, several considerations governing permanent appointments in such offices, which were in effect at the time, will determine whether someone is appointed in a permanent capacity.
If any of the columns include incorrect information, the application may be completely refused.
It is recommended that candidates register well in advance because the application portal experiences a spike in applications as the deadline approaches. Under no circumstances will the deadline for online applications be extended.
The e-challan that is produced following the online application form submission process will remain valid for four days after the date of generation. However, candidates should make sure that the Challan is offline and submitted to the bank before the deadline for Challan fee payment.
