By the Bank’s engagement strategy and the Apprentices Act of 1961, INDIAN BANK, a prominent public sector bank with its headquarters located in Chennai, is seeking applications from qualified people for the position of apprentice.
A candidate may only apply to one state, and no applicant may submit more than one application. The application fee or notification charges paid for the other numerous registrations will be forfeited in the event of multiple applications; only the most recent legitimate (finished) application will be kept.
Note:
Both the number of open training positions and the number of reserved training positions are tentative and subject to change based on the Bank’s actual needs. PWBD reservations are made on a horizontal basis, and the chosen applicants will be assigned to the relevant category (SC, ST, OBC, or Unreserved) based on their membership. Candidates who want to use the PwBD reservation must provide a disability certificate from a Competent Authority, per the guidelines established by the Indian government. The certificate needs to be dated on or before the last registration date for the application.
Candidates in the General Category and those in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Category are subject to the higher age limit.
As mentioned in Points C and D, only one of the remaining categories is eligible for the cumulative relaxation of the upper age restriction for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.
At the time of the interview and/or at any later point during the selection process, candidates requesting an age relaxation must present the requisite certificate or certificates in original or in copies. For applicants in the SC, ST, OBC, or PWBD categories, a caste or category certificate issued by a qualified authority in the format specified by the Indian government.
Candidates who fall under the OBC category should have a particular statement on their certificate stating that they are not eligible for the advantages of the quota for other backward classes in civil posts and services under the Indian government because they do not belong to the creamy layer section.
Intellectual Disability:
The only individuals who can apply under this category are those with any of the disabilities listed below.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neuro-developmental disorder that usually manifests during the first three years of life. It is often linked to unusual or stereotypical rituals or behaviors and has a significant impact on a person’s ability to communicate, understand relationships, and relate to others.
- “Specific Learning Disability” (SLD) refers to a diverse set of conditions where a person’s ability to process language, either written or spoken, is impaired. This can show up as difficulty understanding, speaking, reading, writing, spelling, or performing mathematical calculations. These conditions include dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, developmental aphasia, and perceptual abnormalities.
- A major problem of thinking, emotion, perception, orientation, or memory that substantially affects behavior, judgment, reality recognition, or the capacity to manage everyday obligations is referred to as “mental illness” (MI). It does not include retardation, which is characterized by subnormal intelligence and occurs when a person’s mind grows slowly or not at all.
EWS (Economically Weaker Section):
To be eligible for reservations, a person must be classed as EWS if their family’s gross yearly income is less than Rs. 8.00 lakh (Rupees 8 lakh only) and they are not covered by the current Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes quota system.
The income will be for the fiscal year before the application year and will come from all sources, such as salaries, business, professions, and agriculture. Additionally, regardless of family income, anybody whose family owns or has any of the following assets will not be classified as EWS:
When using the land or property holding test to assess EWS status, properties owned by a “Family” in various locations or cities would be combined.
In this context, “family” refers to the individual seeking the reservation benefit, his or her parents, siblings under the age of 18, spouse, and children under the age of 18.
According to current DoPT standards, on the day of document verification, EWS candidates must present the “Income & Asset Certificate,” which was issued based on gross yearly income for the Financial Year 2024–2025 and valid for the Financial Year 2025–2026. Candidates must receive the “Income & Asset Certificate,” which is based on gross yearly income for the fiscal year 2024–2025, on or before the day of document verification.
