Introduction:
In order to benefit society as a whole and to serve the country by becoming self-sufficient and gaining the ability to design and construct launch vehicles and communication/remote sensing satellites, as well as launch them, the Indian Space Research Organization, Department of Space Centers, and Units are involved in research and development activities in the fields of space application, space science, and technology.
For the following positions as Scientist/Engineer “SC” in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix at participating ISRO Centers (Group “A” Gazetted posts) and in an Autonomous Body under DOS (Group “A” Non-Gazetted posts), meritorious graduates are encouraged to apply online:
Backlog of PwBD openings: The position may be filled by switching between the five (05) categories of disabilities if qualified applicants with the notified category of disability are not available. Therefore, we invite all PwBD applicants in categories A through E to apply. If no qualified individual with any kind of impairment is available, a non-disabled individual will be appointed to fill the positions (BE001, BE002, and BE003).
The graduation should have taken place within the time frame that the university has set for the course. Candidates who plan to finish the aforementioned course during the 2024–2025 academic year may also apply, as long as their final degree is accessible by August 31, 2025, and their cumulative grade point average (CGPA) is 65%, or 6.84/10 (average of all semesters for which results are available).
CGPA in its Degree Certificate:
If a university solely states the CGPA on its degree certificate or consolidated mark sheet, the CGPA must meet the eligibility requirements set forth by DOS/ISRO. Eligibility cannot be determined by converting CGPA into a percentage of marks, even if the university or institution in question specifies a conversion formula. When the degree certificate or consolidated mark sheet just states the proportion of marks, the same conditions apply mutatis mutandis.
The final CGPA/percentage as stated in the Dual/Integrated degree Certificate as applicable for the entire course of study will be taken into consideration for determining eligibility in cases where the percentage applicable for the entire course of study is only mentioned in the certificate; the aforementioned criteria will be applied consistently whether or not a university or institution specifies a formula to determine the CGPA/percentage for Graduation/Post Graduation in its Dual/Integrated Degree certificate;
PwBD Certification: At the time of the interview, candidates for the PWBD-reserved position must present a self-attested copy of their Disability Certificate in the required format, clearly stating the percentage of disability. This certificate must be issued by a Medical Board that is composed of at least three (03) members, one of whom must be an expert in the field for assessing disabilities and duly constituted by the Central or State Government. According to the schedule of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act of 2016, disabilities are defined as follows.
No Objection Certificate:
No Objection Certificate: During the interview or when needed, candidates working for the Central or State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies, etc., must present a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer. However, the applicant should only apply for the position after notifying the employer and receiving their prior consent. If a candidate changes jobs after applying for a position, they must notify the employer of the details of their application and provide a NOC at the time of the interview. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview and will not receive TA if they do not present their NOC in original form at the time of the interview.
The “Make Payment” link on the advertisement page can be used at any point prior to the advertisement closing if the candidate wishes to pay the application cost later. After entering their registration number and birthdate, candidates must select “Make Payment” and proceed with the payment instructions listed below.
Bank fees and taxes may differ, even though ISRO charges the same application fee for all payment methods. As a result, candidates must carefully adhere to the given instructions. After making a successful payment using a debit card or net banking, the candidate would be taken to the ISRO online portal and presented with a page that shows the transaction data.
NO DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE UPLOADED WITH THE APP, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A JPG PHOTO AND SIGNATURE. Candidates should, however, be prepared to submit original documentation as needed to support their qualifications, including their age, category, employer’s letter of recommendation, and other information.
The chosen applicants would be awarded a minimum basic salary of ₹56,100/- per month as Scientist/Engineer “SC” at Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. In accordance with current regulations, Dearness Allowance [DA], House Rent Allowance [HRA], and Transport Allowance are also payable. The New Pension Scheme/Unified Pension Scheme will control the workers.
The listed number of openings is tentative. ISRO maintains the right to change the number of openings in accordance with the needs.
Candidates must present all original documentation as evidence of the information they provided in their online applications.
