Online applications are requested from Indian nationals for direct recruitment to the job of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Tech i.e., JIO-II/Tech in the Intelligence Bureau, (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India.
Note 1: No group of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) has been found to be a good fit for the JIO-II/Tech position. They therefore DO NOT NEED to apply.
Note 2: The number of openings is tentative and subject to change.
Note 3: On the closing date, the candidates’ eligibility will be assessed based on their age, level of education, caste or category, etc. The final results must be released on or before the closure date, which is 14.09.2025 (till 2359 hours), and the candidate must have been deemed successful in the appropriate field shown in the above table.
Note 4: According to the rules and roster, positions for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and ESM are reserved. It includes any carried-over openings in the appropriate category. In the event that there are no qualified ESM candidates, non-ESM candidates from the appropriate categories will fill the ESM positions.
Note 5: ESM are not eligible for fee reductions or to claim reservation benefits under the ESM category if they have already obtained regular employment in the public service under the Central Government in Group “C” positions after using the benefits of reservation granted to them for their reemployment. They are, nevertheless, qualified for age relaxation.
SELECTION OF CANDIDATES:
- a) The candidate must appear in Tier I at one of the specified centers from the five cities indicated. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. No points will be awarded for failing to attempt a question. Questions marked as “designate for Review” by the applicant will not be evaluated.
- b) To achieve quality selection and hire the best people, the Tier-I test would have cut-off scores (out of 100) of UR-35, OBC-34, SC/ST-33, and EWS-35 (all ex-servicemen would be treated in their own category viz. UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS).
- c) Candidates will be shortlisted for a skill test and personal interview at five times the number of openings based on their performance and the normalization of their scores in the Tier-I exam, provided they meet the minimum cut-off score.
