Introduction:
The deadline for receiving applications from candidates, which is September 28, 2025, will be the critical day for establishing the age restriction, educational requirements, certificates/testimonials, etc.
- b) According to the regulations or roster, certain centers do not have any openings earmarked for OBC, SC, ST, or EWS candidates. OBC, SC, ST, and EWS candidates will be considered UR candidates in these centers, and they will be subject to the UR category’s age requirements.
- c) Caste certificates would be recognized in accordance with current government directives.
- d) The applicant’s name and date of birth shall always be taken from the matriculation certificate that was issued by an approved board. No additional documentation of name and date of birth will be accepted.
- e) Qualification-supporting certificates must have been acquired from an accredited institution, university, or board by the closing date at the latest.
- f) If summoned for an interview, candidates who have not yet received their matriculation certificate must provide documentation of their passing the exam by the deadline. If such documentation is provided after the deadline due to a late exam, a delayed result announcement, or any other reason, it will not be accepted.
- g) Before submitting an application, candidates should confirm that they meet the requirements for the position, including age, category, and educational background.
WARNING:
It has been observed that certain dishonest people are falsely soliciting applications for a number of Intelligence Bureau positions. Additionally, these features are enticing students taking different IB-conducted exams to help them during the test, and some of them are even receiving phony appointment letters.
Therefore, it is advised that job seekers and prospective candidates avoid falling for the schemes of dishonest people that attempt to deceive unwary candidates or aspirants for their own benefit.
According to multiple complaints on social media, some unidentified individuals posing as former IB officers falsely assure potential applicants that, because of their lengthy affiliation with the IB, they will assist them in passing this exam. Since IB does not reveal any information on the content of question papers for any examination it administers, candidates are urged to avoid falling for such ludicrous, unfounded, deceptive, and inflated statements made by these individuals.
All applicants are required to abstain from posting any updates on their personal, family, friend, or relative social media accounts or media platforms regarding their advancement to the next rounds of the hiring process or ultimate selection.

INCOME AND ASSET CERTIFICATE ISSUING AUTHORITY:
Only the Income and Asset Certificate in the format specified above, issued by any of the following authorities, will be recognized as evidence of the candidate’s assertion that they belong to EWS:
(i) District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Collector/Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner/First Class Stipendiary Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/Extra Assistant Commissioner; (ii) Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/Presidency Magistrate; (iii) Sub-Divisional Officer or the region in which the candidate and/or his family typically reside.
Only when personally signed by the Director, Additional/Joint Director, or Deputy Director in charge of overseeing sports and games for schools in the State’s Directorate of Public Instruction/Education will this certificate be considered genuine.
I have not regularly accepted public sector government jobs in Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ positions (such as Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies/ Statutory Bodies, Nationalized Banks, etc.) after taking advantage of the reemployment benefits provided to ex-servicemen.
