Introduction:
Eligible Indian citizens are encouraged to apply for positions as Circle-Based Officers at the State Bank of India. The chosen applicants will only be posted in the applied circle.
Candidates are asked to confirm that they meet the requirements for the position as of the eligibility date before submitting an online application.
Only when the fee is deposited with the bank online by the deadline for fee payment is the registration process considered complete.
After carefully reading the advertisement about the selection process, eligibility requirements, online registration procedures, payment of the prescribed application fee, issuance of call letters, examination/interview process and pattern, etc., eligible candidates who wish to work as officers for the State Bank of India must register online. They must also make sure they meet the requirements and adhere to the prescribed procedures.

Important Note:
Candidates with a Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) are subject to a horizontal reservation process that is governed by several Indian government regulations.
According to criteria set forth by the Government of India, candidates who wish to take advantage of the reservation under the PwBD category must present a disability certificate issued by a Competent Authority. The certificate must be dated on or before the application’s last registration date.
According to current DoPT standards, EWS candidates must present the “Income & Asset Certificate,” which was issued based on gross annual income for the Financial Year 2024–25 and is valid for the year 2025–26, for verification at the time of the interview.
Candidates must get their Income & Asset Certificates, which are based on their gross annual income for the fiscal year 2024–2025, at least one day before the date of document verification during the interview.
A candidate will not be permitted to interview and will not be considered for appointment in the Bank for the position if they do not present the “Income & Asset Certificate” at the time of the interview. No request for an extension of time to produce the document after the specified date will be entertained.
At the time of the interview, candidates working for the government, quasi-government, or public sector organizations, such as nationalized banks, scheduled commercial banks, or RRBs, must present a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer; otherwise, they will not be permitted to interview.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Graduation in any field from an accredited university or any other comparable degree that the central government recognizes as such, including an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates with degrees in engineering, medicine, cost accounting, or chartered accounting would also be eligible.
The date that appears on the mark sheet or provisional certificate that the university or institute issues is the date that the applicant passed the eligibility exam.
A certificate given by the relevant University/Institute authority stating the date the result was posted on the website will be considered the date of passing if the results of a specific exam are posted on the institution’s website.
Guidelines for use of scribe & compensatory time:
Candidates should specify in the online application form whether they are eligible for and want to use the scribe’s services during the exam. Any more requests might not receive favorable consideration.
At the time of the online test, both the scribe and the candidate must provide an acceptable undertaking in the format specified, together with a passport-sized photo of the scribe.
Candidates who are qualified to utilize scribes will receive 20 minutes of compensatory time for each exam hour, regardless of whether they use the scribe service or not.
The candidate will be responsible for setting up and paying for their scribe.
In addition to any other action the bank may decide is appropriate against the candidate and the scribe, any candidate who utilizes a scribe in the online exam and is not permitted to use it following the previously mentioned standards will not be allowed to continue in the recruiting process. If an applicant has already joined the Bank, they may be immediately withdrawn from the service for utilizing Scribe in violation of the aforementioned rules.
The examination session will end, and the candidate’s candidature will be canceled if it is discovered that the scribe is answering or solving the questions on their own at any point throughout the test.
EXAMINATION CENTERS:
- The tests will be administered online at locations around India. Annexure I, a provisional list of online exam centers, is attached.
- Requests to change the exam location, date, or session will not be considered.
- Depending on the response, administrative viability, etc., SBI retains the right to add additional centers or cancel any of the examination centers.
- Additionally, SBI retains the authority to assign the candidate to any center other than the one they had selected.
- The candidate will take the test at his or her own risk and expense, and SBI will not be held liable for any kind of harm, loss, or other consequences.
- Any disruptive conduct or misbehavior in the exam room could lead to the cancellation of your application or disqualification from any further SBI exams.
Note:
- If the applicant’s signature or face in the photo is not clear, their application may be denied.
- The applicant’s application may be denied if the necessary documents are not uploaded or if the uploaded documents are not readable and clear.
- Before submitting the application, the candidate has the option to modify it and re-upload any unclear papers, photos, or signatures.
- The candidate should make sure that their signature and photo are posted to the appropriate locations. In the event that a photo is posted incorrectly or a signature is entered incorrectly, the candidate will not be permitted to take the online test.
