General Information and Conditions:

Applicants must be Indian citizens.
All applicants must meet the necessary requirements, such as the age limit and other conditions indicated in the advertisement, as of the final date for submitting online applications.
Applicants should ensure that they meet the minimum qualifications/experience requirements for the position(s) for which they are applying. Inquiries about eligibility will not be considered.
The online application must be accompanied by scanned copies of any credentials, mark-sheets, experience certificates, and testimonials in support of necessary educational qualification and experience, as issued by degree awarding institutions and organizations. The required qualifications must have been achieved from accredited universities/institutions.
Individuals with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) who fulfill the eligibility criteria outlined in GOI guidelines are encouraged to submit an application.
Should there be a difference between the Hindi and English versions of this advertisement, the English version will take precedence.
Indicating whether any of their blood or close relatives work in the CSIR or any other National Labs/Institutes/Units of the CSIR is mandatory for candidates. This includes the wife or husband, son or daughter, parents, brothers or sisters, or any other individual related to the person by blood or marriage, regardless of whether they are dependent on the government servant.
The shortlisted individuals will be on probation for TWO YEARS from the moment they join. The Competent Authority has discretion to extend or shorten the probationary term.

AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS:

For departmental candidates (CSIR employees) who fulfill the necessary requirements, there is no upper age limit. Applicants employed by the Central Government, State Governments, or Autonomous Bodies are not eligible for such an age relaxation.
The castes mentioned in the Government of India’s Central List will assess the eligibility of OBC candidates; if their sub-caste does not match the entries in this list, their candidature will be denied under any reserved category and classed as Unreserved (UR), unless they are otherwise eligible.
OBC applicants in the “Creamy Layer” are ineligible for OBC benefits and must declare their category as General.
The age concession for persons with disabilities applies regardless of whether the position is reserved for people with disabilities or not, as long as it is identified as suitable for the relevant category of disability.
If a person with a disability is qualified for an age concession because he or she works for the Central Government, the concession will be awarded as a ‘person with a disability’ or as a ‘Central Government employee,’ whichever is more advantageous to the individual.
SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM/Sports quota candidates must produce a copy of a recently issued certificate in the prescribed format to the competent authorities for document verification. When applying for jobs with the Central Government, candidates should check that their certificates are genuine.

GUIDELINES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES:

It will be the candidate’s responsibility to pay for their own scribe. The qualifications of the scribe should be one level lower than those of the test taker.
Both the scribe and the candidate must submit a suitable undertaking attesting to the scribe’s compliance with the scribe eligibility requirements listed above.
Furthermore, if it is later discovered that he or she did not meet any of the established eligibility criteria or hid material facts, the applicant’s candidature will be canceled, regardless of the outcome of the online examination.
Candidates who employ a scribe are entitled to 20 minutes of compensatory time for each hour of the examination, or as otherwise instructed.
Any additional provisions made relevant to the CSIR under GoI Rules.
One-eyed and partially blind candidates who can read the normal Question Paper set with or without a magnifying glass and wish to write/indicate their answers with a magnifying glass will be allowed to do so in the Examination Hall but will not be entitled to a Scribe.
Such candidates must bring their own magnifying lens to the examination hall.
