CMRL is looking for qualified and experienced candidates for the contract or deputation roles listed below.
Scale of pay for deputation basis:
The deputationist will have the choice of receiving their pay in the parent company, along with a project allowance and a deputation allowance, both of which will be 10% of their basic pay.
(or) To create a comparable cadre IDA pay scale in CMRL that includes cafeteria allowance (20% of basic salary), HRA, and IDA.
Tenure of deputation:
Age, education, and experience requirements for the aforementioned positions should be current as of May 21, 2025. For worthy and seasoned applicants, age restrictions will be loosened.
Depending on the candidate’s performance and the CMRL requirements, selected applicants on contract appointment may be eligible for the IDA Pay Scale on a contract basis after completing the two-year contract period satisfactorily.
Candidates who apply through the proper channels from the government or PSUs and have worked for at least two years on a regular pay scale may be considered for IDA Pay on a contract basis, upon selection, by the current terms and circumstances of the CMRL policy.
Higher compensation or a higher position will be evaluated based on prior experience, interview performance, superior qualifications, and subject-matter competence.
The combined salary will include benefits like life insurance, medical and personal accident insurance, reimbursement for a cell phone and SIM card for official usage, and other permissible allowances that are applicable under the existing HR policy legislation of the CMRL.
Required Qualification and Experience:
A B. E. or B. Tech. A degree from a government-accredited institution or university that has been approved by the AICTE or UGC is required.
An officer from an Organized Group A IRSSE in Railways or a comparable position in Metro should be the incumbent.
At least 25 years of post-qualification experience in railway and metro signal and telecom systems is required, along with at least 5 years of Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) or comparable experience.

A SAG, non-functional SAG, or something similar should be used.
It is necessary to have at least 20 years of post-qualification experience with railway and metro signal and telecom systems.
The incumbent should have experience in a comparable sector or be an officer from an Organized Group A Technical service, such as IRTS in Railways or an analogous service in Metro.
It is necessary to have at least 20 years of post-qualification experience in operations and maintenance in a railway or metro, or a similar field.
Selection process:
There are two steps in the selection process: an interview and a medical check. The candidate will be evaluated on a variety of factors during the selection process, including aptitude, knowledge, abilities, comprehension, attitude, and physical fitness.
Medical Examination:
The candidate’s initial medical checkup will be paid for by CMRL. However, if the candidate requests an extension to join, they will be responsible for paying for the second medical test.
Transportation expenses to and from the medical examination are the candidate’s responsibility. The candidate who fails the necessary medical exam will not be considered for any other position, and the CMRL’s decision is final in this situation.
Character & Antecedents:
Only once CMRL is satisfied after an inquiry that may be considered necessary to ascertain whether the candidate’s background and character are in all respects suitable for appointment to the service, does success in the aforementioned selection process confer any right to appointment.
Concessions & Relaxations:
Candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), or Scheduled Tribes will have their age limit extended by five years, and candidates from Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities, Backward Classes (other than Muslim), or Backward Classes (Muslim) will have their age limit extended by two years.
If an applicant is otherwise fully suitable and their disability does not prevent them from effectively performing the duties of the position for which they were chosen, they will be eligible for an age concession of up to ten years over the age limits set for the notified post by direct recruitment only.
The prescribed age restriction plus three years of military service shall be the upper age limit for ex-servicemen.
General Conditions:
The age, background, and credentials listed above should be accurate as of May 21, 2025.
Before applying, candidates are encouraged to confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements and other conditions listed, and that all of the information they have provided is accurate.
If it is found during the hiring process that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility requirements, does not adhere to the other terms of this advertisement, or has given any false or inaccurate information or withheld any material facts, their candidature may be denied. The services shall be discontinued immediately if any of the aforementioned issues are discovered even after the appointment.
The original contract period for this sort of appointment is two years, and it can be extended for additional time upon mutual consent, contingent on the applicant’s performance and requirements under the current terms and circumstances.
The management retains the right to increase the minimum eligibility standards or criteria in order to control the number of candidates who will be invited for interviews, if necessary.
A candidate cannot be chosen for an interview just because they have the aforementioned training and experience.
Only individuals who have been shortlisted will receive invitations to interviews. The people may be shortlisted by CMRL at its discretion. Management will have the last say over whether to approve or reject the applicants’ applications.
