Introduction:

For the following Group ‘C’ Non-gazetted (Non-Ministerial) positions in the Customs Marine Wing under the authority of the Customs Commissionerate, Pune, medically fit and suitable Indian national candidates are encouraged to apply in the manner specified below:

Job Post, Age Limit, Educational Qualification:

Seaman

between the ages of 18 and 25 (age relaxation by Central Government regulations or ordinances).
In the wage matrix, Level 1 (18000/-) (Rs. 18000-UR-02 56900) SC-01 Pay-Band OBC-01 (5200-20200) Age range: 18 to 25 years old (age relaxation in line with Central Government directives or orders). Desirable:- + Rs. 1800 in grade pay
Passing the 10th grade or its equivalent is required.
Two years of helmsmanship and seamanship training are part of three years of seagoing, automated vessel experience.
The Marine Mercantile Department awarded the “Mate of Fishing Vessel” Certificate of Competency.

Greaser

Level -1 SC-01, (18000/-) OBC-01, (Rs. 18000-UR-04 56900) is the salary matrix. Pay-Band EWS-01 (5200-20200).
Age range: 18 to 25 years old (age relaxation in line with Central Government directives or orders).
Education Requirement (Necessary & Preferred) As on 26.04.2025, passing the Xth grade or its equivalent is required.
Two years of helmsmanship and seamanship training are part of three years of seagoing, automated vessel experience. The Marine Mercantile Department awarded the “Mate of Fishing Vessel” Certificate of Competency.
Passing the 10th grade or its equivalent is required.
Three years of seagoing motorized vessel maintenance expertise with both main and auxiliary machinery. Grade pay of Rs. 1800 is desired.
Age range: 18 to 25 years old (age relaxation in line with Central Government directives or orders).
Pass the 10th class or its equivalent.
Three years of expertise in seagoing mechanized vessel maintenance, including main and auxiliary machinery.
The “Engine driver of fishing vessel” certificate of competency was issued by the Marine Mercantile Department.

Tradesman

Level 2 (Rs. 19,900/-) in the pay matrix SC-01, Pay-Band (5200-20200) + Grade Pay of Rs. 1900 (Rs. 18000-UR-02 56900)
between the ages of 18 and 25 (age relaxation by Central Government regulations or ordinances).
I.T.I. certificates for carpentry, mechanics, diesel, fitters, welders, electricians, and instrument technicians.
Pass the 10th class or its equivalent.
Two years of experience working for an engineering, auto, or ship repair company.
expertise in FRP repair and laminating.
Fiber-reinforced plastic class for first aid, firefighting, and industrial safety

General Conditions:

The dates of the period, the name of the position held, the type of work done, the name of the registered vessel and its registration number, the employer’s payroll certificate, salary slips, etc., must all be included in the experience certificate.
Subject to medical fitness, candidates who fulfill the requirements will be invited to take a written test and, if necessary, a physical endurance test (PET) that involves swimming. The selection procedure will be based on a written exam.
The application must be properly signed by the applicant, and a recent passport-size photo must be attached. Verify that the face is visible. When taking the test, a candidate should look exactly like the picture on the application.
For written exams, the Physical Endurance Test (PET) (swimming), and document verification, travel allowance will not be paid.
Higher-qualified candidates may also apply.
Candidates who are currently employed by the government should apply through the appropriate channels and provide a certificate from the department head attesting to the fact that they are not currently facing any disciplinary or surveillance cases.
Any kind of canvassing will disqualify a candidate, and their candidacy may be instantly dismissed.
Applications that are incomplete, unsigned, received after the deadline, or without the required enclosures or images will be immediately dismissed.
A candidate for an appointment based on OBC reservation must make sure he has a caste or community certificate and are not in the creamy layer on the important date.

Closing date for receipt of the Application forms:

The completed application forms must be sent by registered mail or speed post only by June 10, 2025, at the latest. Applications that are incomplete or received after the deadline will be summarily rejected, and no correspondence regarding forms that are refused will be accepted. This office is not responsible for any mail delays.
