Candidates to ensure their eligibility for the examination:
To be admitted to the exam, candidates need to make sure they meet all eligibility requirements before applying. As long as they meet the eligibility requirements, their admittance to all exam phases will be strictly provisional.
Candidates shall not be granted any appointment rights just by being admitted to the written exam, having their certificates verified, receiving counseling, or having their names added to the selection list.
The Commission has the authority to reject a candidate at any point, even after selection, if it turns out that the claim was untrue or that there was a violation of a rule or directive.
One Time Registration and Online Application:
The candidate must first register via the Commission’s One Time Registration (OTR) platform on its website before completing the test’s online application.
If the candidate has already enrolled, they can immediately complete the online application for the test.
Options for Subject Papers:
Applicants should select the subject paper or papers and indicate their choice in the online application. To take the test, candidates should only select the topic or subjects in which they have earned their educational degree or an equivalent.
This notification’s Annexure I includes detailed application instructions as well as the locations of the testing locations.
Note:
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission only considers merit for all hiring decisions. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission today warns applicants against agents and touts who can defraud them by promising to provide them jobs through unethical means.
Any damages incurred by a candidate as a result of doing business of any type with these dishonest individuals shall not be attributed to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
The assertions made by candidates in the online application are entirely their own responsibility. They cannot hold service providers, such as internet cafés, browsing centers, or common service centers, accountable for errors committed during the online application process.
It is recommended that candidates review their completed online application before submitting it.
Supporting Documents:
The date of birth will be verified using the tenth standard (SSLC) or twelfth standard (HSC) mark sheet, which is supplied by the Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education or the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Education, respectively.
If a candidate’s date of birth is not on their tenth or twelfth standard marksheets, they must upload their Birth Certificate, Transfer Certificate, or Degree marksheets instead. Evidence in any other format will not be accepted.
The candidate will be rejected following the proper process if they fail to upload such a document.
Candidates should attach the necessary supporting documentation if they are claiming an age concession. The candidate will be rejected after the proper process if they do not upload such a document.
For a position in the Computer Forensic Science Division or Unit, candidates must hold a diploma or post-graduate diploma in computer application or any other computer science-related field.
Those who possess the Diploma in Epigraphy and Archaeology from the Institute of Epigraphy in Tamil Nadu would be given precedence, all other things being equal.
On the day of notification, the candidates must meet the educational and technical requirements for the position.
An accredited university or institution must award a Master of Social Work, MBA, Master of Arts in Sociology, or Master of Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.
English and Tamil language proficiency, meaning that one must have taken both languages as a subject in the SSLC or HSC
Medical and Physical Standards:
At the time of joining the position, candidates who have been chosen for appointment must present a certificate of physical fitness to the Appointing Authority.
When applying for a position, candidates with vision impairments should present the Appointing Authority with an Eye Fitness certificate from a certified eye specialist employed by a government hospital.
Ranking Procedure:
The candidate with the higher qualification will be ranked higher on the merit list if two or more candidates receive identical scores.
If the candidate’s qualifications and written exam scores are identical, the older candidate will be ranked higher on the merit list.
The candidate who has previously applied to the Commission, as identified by the application number, will be ranked higher on the merit list when their ages are equal.
Before being admitted for the in-person certificate verification and counseling, an on-screen certificate verification will be performed.
According to the minimum qualifying score specified in paragraph 6 of the notification and the appointment reservation regulation, the Commission will choose a list of applicants who meet the requirements for the onscreen certificate verification.
According to the scores received in the written exam, three candidates will be admitted to the physical certificate verification and counseling (if applicable) for positions with a single cadre strength and for which the reservation of appointments rule does not apply.
Subject to the appointment reservation regulation, the ultimate decision will be based on the candidate’s overall exam scores (Part B and Part C of Paper I and Paper II).
Depending on their rank, candidates will be permitted to take part in counseling, if applicable.

Making an Appointment Reservation:
This recruiting is subject to the reservation of appointments rule. Annexure II of this notification contains the specifics of the reservation for candidates from different categories. The reservation of appointment regulation does not apply to positions with a total cadre strength of just one.
No consideration will be given to requests for an exception from the age restriction or other requirements.
Requests to provide reasons for failing the written exam, to not be selected based on the written exam results, or to have the answer sheets reevaluated will not be considered.
A one-time registration does not constitute a job application.
Simply put, it gathers data from the applicants and gives each one a dashboard to make it easier to manage their profile.
For each exam that an applicant plans to take, they need to submit a separate online application.
